Anno (with Mama Sally)

I was born and raised in Brookfield,
Wisconsin. I came to Madison
in 1980 to attend UW-Madison and I, like many, have been here ever since. I
met Tracy while rowing for the UW
women's crew team. Rowing taught me the beauty of the moment when individuals
learn to work together as a team and it also taught me just how hard I could
push my body and mind. I got a degree in exercise physiology in 1985 and
worked for eight years in mostly cardiac rehabilitation until a back injury
in 1993 sent me back to school. I finished a physician assistant degree in
1997 and have been working full-time ever since in family practice and urgent
care medicine. I can see the wisdom of the ancients and appreciate new
technology at the same time and I try to help others take better care of themselves. My official EVP title is: VP in charge of
maintenance.
Facts about me:
- I attended eight years
of Catholic grade school and wore a plaid skirt everyday (with jean
cutoffs underneath).
- I love to be
outdoors....biking, running or playing any sport that requires lots of
running around.
- I love music:
listening, playing or singing and I grew up singing with my two sisters
(an effortless joy).
- I live with three
animals: Loocie, a workaholic Australian Shepard with OCD; Dottie, a
twelve year old stray cat who thinks she's a dog and loves to be walked
around the block and Buster, a crazy, loveable cockapoo.
